As an ICT Manager, am supervising the configuration and management of University of Dar es Salaam network services like email, web service, internet connectivity, routers. I am also providing technical advice to the management and systems administrator on all issues related to internet, like bandwidth management, security and internet utilisation.
We are planning to expand a wireless network which is currently running at the main campus, to remote campuses.

The University of Dar es Salaam is connected to the internet through Seacom. Seacom is providing STM-1 to University of Dar es Salaam. The University network is a heterogenious network operating both Linux and Windows servers.The network is connected using Cisco routers and switches.
